Play sound effects in Godot easily and without worrying about nodes and error handling.
Usage: Just call SFX.play(filename), with optional arguments being volume and pitch.
Installation (very simple): In the project settings, under Globals, add the script "s_f_x.gd" as an Auto-Load, preferably name it "SFX".
Features of this script:
- Automatic Thread detection and safety (which means you can play audio from a Thread)
- Automatic file format detection
- Handles memory safely
- Built-in error handling
- Can play files in the project (res://), from the user folder (user://) or from anywhere in the file-system
